Augustine Casino is proud to announce that its award-winning Café 54 will be a featured vendor during the upcoming La Quinta Arts Festival Artist Award Reception on Thursday, March 1, 5:30-7:00 p.m. at the La Quinta Civic Park. Café 54 recently won Best Buffet, Best Casual Eats, and Best Burger in a poll from Coachella Valley Independent readers.

“Each year on the opening day of the Festival,” said Kathleen Hughes, events manager for the La Quinta Arts Foundation, “we have an Artist Award Reception attended by 220 artists, their assistants, sponsors, La Quinta Arts Foundation members, city dignitaries, and volunteer chair-people for a total of 600-700 people.” The La Quinta Arts Festival runs from March 1-4.

Hughes went on to explain that artists are honored with awards in celebration of their achievements. This event also allows attendees to experience great food from local restaurants. Many art patrons and artists are first-time visitors to the Coachella Valley and the La Quinta Arts Festival likes to showcase the many attractions that the valley has to offer.

“This year under the light of a full moon,” said Hughes, “we will be featuring 13 valley restaurants, the official beer sponsor Stella Artois, along with a selection of fine wine.
